Meet Gordon Bethel

Gordon believes strong communities are built on faith, family, hard work, and servant leadership. As a candidate for League City City Council, he is committed to protecting the values that make League City such a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

For more than 25 years, Gordon has built a successful career in the food and beverage industry, earning a reputation for integrity, accountability, and putting people first where he currently serves as a Sales Manager for DioniLife.

Service has always been an important part of his life. For the past decade, Gordon has coached youth sports, investing in the next generation by teaching teamwork, discipline, respect, and perseverance. He also volunteers at his children's schools because he believes engaged parents and strong schools are the foundation of a thriving community.

Gordon and his wife, Samantha, a healthcare executive, are proud to call League City home. Together, they are raising their family of five children and are deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of others. Like many families, they understand the importance of safe neighborhoods, responsible budgeting, quality public services, and preserving the values that make League City a special place to live.

If elected, Gordon will bring common-sense leadership, business experience, fiscal responsibility, and a commitment to listening to residents. He believes city government should be transparent, accountable, and focused on serving the people—not politics. His goal is simple: to help keep League City a safe, prosperous, and family-friendly community for generations to come.

The Issues

Public Safety & Fiscal Responsibility:

Gordon will protect public safety while make every tax dollar count. While carefully watching spending and fighting to lower taxes, he will ensure that League City continues to have a strong police, fire & EMS services to ensure the safety or our families and neighborhoods.

Infrastructure, Drainage & Flood Mitigation:

League City’s own Capital Improvement Plan calls for dedicating hundreds of millions of dollars of the next 5 years to water, streets, traffic, and drainage projects, reflecting the need to invest in infrastructure for future growth. Gordon will ensure council is making sure these investments are delivered on time and within budget. 

Managing Growth & Keeping our Quality of Life

Growth should pay for growth. Responsible development in League City is one that protect neighborhoods while preparing for the future. Gordon will fight to ensure that growth is well-managed in League City and residents continue to benefit from the quality of life our city gets recognized for as being one of the safest and best cities to live in Texas.
